Welcome to St Kevin’s 26-44 Herlihys Road Ph: 03 9850 5983 Welcome to St Kevin's Parish. Our website is proving to be another good way of keeping in touch.As usual there are lots of things happening. The most obvious is the appearance of our Basketball/Performing Arts "Stadium" at St Kevin's School which will have many variable uses. Our community is just in the process of sorting out how to manage its use by so many groups who are keen to use this facility. One interesting suggestion is an occasional indoor soccer 'friendly' for young people before 6pm Mass. With World Cup interset this may be a goer! It will take more than one organiser, so if this enthuses you, please contact the Parish House, so that we can connect all interested parties. Since our last update, we have had a ministry renewal - which has reminded us of all the number of requirements to make up a modern Parish. Wow- we certainly need hundreds of volunteers to keep us up to scratch.Finally our two new Parish Secretaries are getting stuck into running the day to day (and month to month) comings and goings of our community. Give them a ring to say 'Hello and Thank you".Hope to see you this weekend - our Church is warm in more ways than just the heating on the wall.FR. Gerry |
